The treasures of the house
Amlou, argan oil and gift sets — cold-pressed, handcrafted.
From the argan tree to your table
The argan tree grows nowhere else but the south-west of Morocco. Since 1998, we have worked hand in hand with women's cooperatives in the Souss region, who perpetuate an ancestral gesture: cracking the kernel, cold-pressing it, binding the amlou on the stone mill.
Every bottle and every jar carries this know-how — pure, uncut, additive-free. That is our definition of luxury: authenticity, preserved.
A purity you can feel
A powerful natural antioxidant, preserved by cold-pressing.
No heat, no solvent — only the press and time.
No preservatives, no flavourings, no added sugar. The original recipe.
A fair-trade supply chain that supports the women of the Atlas.
Everything to know before ordering
Food-grade argan oil, simply explained
Food-grade argan oil is pressed from toasted kernels — the toasting is what gives it its hazelnut taste, and what separates it from cosmetic oil, pressed from raw kernels. It is used raw, drizzled over a salad, grilled fish, roast vegetables or a tagine.
Its interest lies in its composition: rich in vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids, it also brings plant sterols specific to argan. But the real reason to keep it in a kitchen remains its taste, which nothing replaces.
Amlou, the spread of the Souss
Three ingredients: ground toasted almonds, food-grade argan oil and honey. No palm oil, no emulsifier, no added sugar beyond the honey.
It is a Berber welcoming food, served at breakfast and to guests. Its texture is looser and grainier than an industrial spread, and the oil that rises at rest is the mark of a product with no additive — just stir it back in.
Why the pressing window changes everything
Between harvest and bottling, passing time costs vitamin E and aroma. Our kernels are cold-pressed within 48 hours of harvest, at the women's cooperatives of the Souss that cracked them by hand.
Few sellers state this, and no label requires it. It is nonetheless what separates a good oil from an ordinary one.
